Your new weapon against cellulite

Many women have had dimples on their thighs and buttocks since early adolescence. This phenomenon, known as cellulite, is caused by a shortening of the fibrous septa that connect the upper layer of skin to the underlying tissue. The surface of the skin is pulled inwards and the fat accumulated in the spaces between the septa bulges outwards, causing a dimpled texture.

Weight changes, hormones, genetics and lifestyle can all contribute to the development of cellulite, but the underlying cause is anatomical.

All of the measures against cellulite that have been tried in the past, such as weight loss or massages, have had disappointing results.

The new “Cellfina” procedure targets the structural cause of cellulite, the fibrous septa. These structures are cut and released under local anaesthesia using a motorised microblade. As soon as the cellulite-causing fibres are severed, the skin is able to smooth out again and the dimples disappear.

This is the only minimally invasive procedure for cellulite with a CE mark and FDA approval. It is extremely effective and long-lasting.
