Compared to previous models, the energy pulses of the “PicoPlus” laser are ultra-short, meaning that tattoos can now be removed faster, less painfully, more safely and more effectively. With picosecond technology, the pulse width is just one hundredth of the size of a nanosecond laser. The laser beams no longer simply heat the ink pigments in the skin as before. Now, photomechanical processes break them down into tiny particles that the body can break down more easily and quickly, without damaging the surrounding skin. The photomechanical effect is unique: better results with fewer treatments.
Even tattoos that could previously only be incompletely removed with the laser technologies of the past can now be completely removed.
As with almost all laser treatments, you should not be tanned when you undergo the treatment and should also avoid the sun for approx. 3 weeks afterwards.
